Wellfleet Public Library
An original one-act play about the explosive relationship of war correspondent Martha Gellhorn and iconic author Ernest Hemingway, Gellhorn V. Hemingway takes place in 1954, shortly after Hemingway won both the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes and Gellhorn moved to London and became an American expatriate. The play focuses retrospectively on the volatile relationship during their ten-year romance, marriage, and divorce. costume, presenting monologues compiled from primary sources and answering audiences' questions both in character and out. They combine expert artistic expression with rigorous humanities content.
