Prepare to be transported. Sawaari  brings together the worlds of Indian taals, Arabic maqams, and trance grooves from North Africa and Italy, weaving them into an exhilarating soundscape that knows no borders. With an emphasis on rhythm and improvisation, their music flows from meditative calm to fiery complexity—always keeping the listener on the edge of discovery.

This performance features a special guest appearance by oud/clarinet virtuoso Mal Barsamian, whose artistry adds another layer of depth and brilliance to the ensemble’s already rich sonic palette.

The Band:

  • Fabio Pirozzolo – vocals & percussion

  • Jussi Reijonen – oud

  • Mike Rivard – sintir & double bass

  • Andy Bergman – saxophone & clarinet

  • Amit Kavthekar – tabla
