Collective Line Drawing (CLD) is a second iteration of the LCC-funded Community Bulletin Board, a public interactive art project at PAAM. For the second iteration, we recycled and reused the same materials; pushpins and a large cork bulletin board, to start a new line drawing, made collectively by the participants pinning one pushpin at a time to connect dots (pins) into a continuous line, resulting in a large free-flowing colorful drawing. Participants can start a new line pattern that connects to another existing dot/pin to create a continuous flow of intertwining lines.
One pushpin pinned on the bulletin board initiated the start of the project in March, and now the drawing is massive! This is a collective art project to work together and make connections literally by pinning dot to dot, and socially by interacting with one another to create stronger bonds with individuals in our community while making art.
